Virus scanning on file transfers

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to conduct a virus scan on file's that are being uploaded through the SSL VPN.

For example with the network connect or file share feature.

I don't believe that the SSL VPN has an integrated AV engine, so maybe with ICAP or...?

I am aware of the host checker feature's but I was just wondering.

Re: Virus scanning on file transfers

Id enjoy hearing other responses, but for us, we rely on the AV thats on the workstation to do the work, so we have a HC policy that makes sure the AV agent is installed and up to date.

Re: Virus scanning on file transfers

I read something about the Enhanced Endpoint Security.

To me this seems like an anti-virus product that get's deployed to your computer when you log in.

Does this anti-virus solution always stay active or only during the session?

Can this solution get in conflict with an already installed AV-software?

Re: Virus scanning on file transfers

No, the IVE does not have any type of file scanning capability on files that are uploaded through it. This is something that would need to be done on the server or on the client machine prior to uploading the file.

EES is not an anti-virus product, per se, but it does check machines for malware and denies access if something is found that is known in it's database. EES is only during the user session. Other AV softwares may conflict/not allow it to run, yes.
