I have 2 SA4000's in a cluster, running 6.4R1 and I have a user connecting in with Vista Home Premium. Upon logon on they receive the OS Not Supported Screen, as they have a User Role that auto starts the WSAM, if they go back to the Home screen and attempt to manually start the WSAM they receive the error as well. The appliances address is set as a trusted site, the user has removed and re-installed all Juniper software (Host Checker and WSAM). User goes to an XP machine from the same remote network and can get right in without an issue.
evcard,
Is it Vista Home Basic 32 bit or 64 bit? I see in the supported platforms guide http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/ive/6.x/releasenotes/SA-SupportedPlatforms-64.pdf that only 32 bit Vista Home Basic with no SP, or SP1 is on the "compatible" list to use WSAM.
In 6.5 Vista home basic 64-bit with SP1 or SP2 was added to the "compatible" list.
I will have to double check with the user. I have to assume 32bit but it could possibly be 64bit that they are on.
thanks for the info the user was infact a 64bit Vista user. I see 6.5R2.0 has been released is a 64-bit WSAM supported in that? I looked through the release notes but no mention.
yes, 64-bits WSAM support is included in IVE OS 6.5:

p 9
Windows version of Secure Application Manager (W-SAM)
Compatible platforms:
Vista Enterprise/Ultimate/Business/Home Basic/Home Premium with Service Pack 1 or 2 on 32 bit or 64 bit platforms
Awesome that is excellent news.
From heavy testing on 6.5R1 I can tell you the following.
Vista and Win7 32 bit works with all parts of the IVE
Chrome Web Browser does NOT work.
IE8 has issues if you have a proxy setting with a proxy.pac file (crashes IE)
any 64 bit web browser will not work with the applications of the IVE (HC/JSAM/WSAM/NC/SVW)
SVM will not function on any 64bit OS.
