WSAM - Connection reset by peer

Hi,

we have some stragen issues with our SA4500 in combination with WSAM.

Users are connecting to e.g. SAP Systems via WSAM.

Normally everything ist working fine, but sometimes the connection to the LAN (SAP System) is broken.

In WSAM there is an info thtat "connection failes to host IPSmiley Tongueort - Connection reset by peer".

The WSAM connection itself is stable. This is also when you are typing in the SAP application - so this

cannot be a timeout issue.

The SA is between two checkpoint firewalls.

There are no Drops or erros on the network interfaces.

Is there someone who also had such trouble and knows how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Re: WSAM - Connection reset by peer

I would suggest you to open a JTAC ticket - because this would need to study on the WSAM logs to see if they can find something.

Also, please mention the following with the JTAC when you open the case:

1) If this is specific to any Windows OS?

2) If this is seen to few users or is this a global issue?

3) Since when did this issue started and do you recall any changes on the SA?

4) Screenshot of the error message seen.

Re: WSAM - Connection reset by peer

Is the connection perma-broken or temporarily until the next WSAM launch?

Do you see errors regarding cache being full?

Do you have radius accounting enabled on the role? if yes, what version are you using?

Re: WSAM - Connection reset by peer

Hello,

the WSAM connection is not broken, it is stable.

The connection within the WSAM is broken, e.g. when I am accessing to an SAP System.

What do you mean with "cache errors"? Where do I have to look at?

RADIUS is not used.

Re: WSAM - Connection reset by peer

To confirm: everything except SAP works over WSAM?

the cache errors/full messages would be on theclient log, eg error 10054, 10063.
