Web Bookmark and SAM reference same destination URL?

If you've configured a Web Bookmark and SAM destination pointing to the same URL, and have not created a Web Application Resource Profile to use 'No rewriting (use WSAM/JSAM), is the content still intermediated by the web rewriter even though it's wrapped by SAM? If so, is there any advantage/disadvantage to the above scenario?

Re: Web Bookmark and SAM reference same destination URL?

If you do not have a 'no rewrite' rule, when the user clicks the bookmark, they will get the rewritten version of the link. Since that actually points to the URL of your SA/MAG, it will not match the host entry created by SAM and will not get redirected to the listener that SAM creates to capture and tunnel the traffic. SAM will sit idle while all the content is handled by the web rewriter.
