WebEx audio issues after connecting Pulse Secure VPN

Hi,

We have deployed PSA5000-V on Hyper-V and employees are able to connect to the VPN without any issues. We are using 9.0R4 version and observing audio breaks in WebEx with huge jitter. Anyone faced this issue and please suggest any changes required in the configuration? This is the only issue with WebEx and no issues with Microsoft teams. Please suggest any solution.

Thanks,

Yugandhar.

Re: WebEx audio issues after connecting Pulse Secure VPN

Seems like the issue is specific to Cisco WebEx. Any analysis done by WebEx support to find out the cause?

Jitter would be caused due to packet loss, I believe.

Is it Full tunnel or Split tunnel?

If the traffic is routed through virtual interface, then do we allow all WebEx servers on the tunnel ACL?

What OS being used by the users?

Are they connecting using WiFi or LAN?

Re: WebEx audio issues after connecting Pulse Secure VPN

Hi Ray,

Thank you for your response. We are using Full tunnel and escalated this to webex. They observed that after connecting to VPN huge Jitter is adding to the WebEx and once we disconnected VPN then audio is very clean. The outbound traffic is passing through our firewall (FortiGate) and we did some testing by blocking UDP 9000 in the firewall then observing clean audio. We did a packet capture on PulseSecure appliance and found that extra payload is adding in return packet.

We have allowed all the WebEx IP range in the firewall policy and users are using Windows 10. The PulseSecure appliance version is 9.0R4.

Thanks,

Yugandhar.
