Where do I find Pulse Connect Secure serial number?

Hello,

I want to generate license keys for my PSA hosted in AWS and to do so I need a:

• serial number
• hardware ID
• authorization code

I went to Maintenance > Platform but I didn't find a Serial Number field there.

However, on the same page near the bottom is written "Licensed to XXXXX" so I figured this is the Hardware ID.

Hi Tony,

Virtual appliances will not have any serial number mapped, since we have to download the licenses using auth codes from the appliances. Licenses will be mapped to the Hardware ID of the VM.

NOTE: While downloading the licenses, VPN server will try to contact a cloud licensing server (PCLS) to get the license keys. Hence, make sure that the VPN server is able to reach the PCLS. https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB43708/

Hello Ray,

In https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB41030/, step 3: "enter the authentication (auth) code".

I'm stuck here cause I only have Authorization codes not Authentication codes. And like I said before, I saw a KB where in order to get auth. codes from authoriz., I need to have the serial number.

Hello Tony,

I believe it's a typo coz. there is no such thing called authentication code (typo in KB), it's Authorization code.

Serial number + hardware ID + Authorization code = license keys.

Since installing license keys on VMs are not allowed, we have to use the Authorization code to download and install licenses instead of manually applying them.

Downloading the licenses from the Pulse Cloud Licensing Server (PCLS) will not require any serial number to generate and install licenses on VMs.
