Windows Phone & ActiveSync compatibility

Hello,

 

There is no information about ActiveSync & Windows Phone in the different PDF I read from Juniper.

 

From the 7.3 Admin guide :

¥ Supports Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 only.

 

From the 7.3.R1Supported platforms :

Mobile OS supported platforms - Supported Features for IPv4 - Active Sync, Windows = Yes

What about Windows Phone 7.0, 7.5 and 8 ?

I«ve tested Exchange Active Sync on Windows Phone 7, 7.5 and 8.

With all of them I was able to do a sync using our IVE (7.2R6).

 

The only limitation I found was, that Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 isn«t able to authenticate by username/password and client certificate at the same time. I could only choose to authenticate between username/password OR certificate.

 

Windows Phone 8 has synced without any problem using both authentication methods.

Windows Phone 8 is not something we have tested; if a device supports ActiveSync it is expected that it will work

I really wish Juniper would be a bit quicker to market with support for newer devices.  It takes way to long and we get to sit on the sidelines and watch competitors support things like this while we make up reasons to stay with Juniper.
