Not to sidetrack, but shouldn't there be a way to put in a request on the web site and track it from there?

that would be a great idea; unfortunately, i'm not sure of limitations with trying to that running. i will forward the suggestion to different teams to check on that potential

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

It looks like Juniper VPN support for Windows RT is coming with Windows RT 8.1 (a free upgrade with preview release later this month). It was presented at TechEd and you can view the slides and session here: http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2013/WCA-B357#fbid=9u25XCgPe8f

I saw the TechEd presentation as well, but I don't see Juniper in the VPN settings on RT 8.1.  They do have Checkpoint, Sonicwall, and F5.

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

I have to kinda agree with others in my confusion as to why we cannot just get a team member from the Junos Pulse team to spend, like, 15 min and just type out an answer to this question as to what is the roadmap for RT, if there is not one, why?  I mean it has taken the mods more time to continually type out "talk to your reps" then it would just to hop on your corp. IM and ask that team for a response and just copy/paste it here.

Why do a bunch of us have to individually ask our reps this very very simple question?  And the ones responding here are just a subset of people who are googling this question looking for a very very simple answer.

So why not just answer the question.  What is the roadmap for Junos on Windows RT?  If there is not one, why?

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

Hi all.

I appreciate your frustration.  Unfortunately, our roadmap items can not discussed on public forums.  We do discuss roadmap items under a "non-disclosure agreement" with our customers - which is why it's been suggested to discuss these questions with your account team.

So, now that I've said that É let me answer your question.  Yes - there are people at Juniper working on support for new operating systems - including Windows Phone 8 and Win RT.  In this case, we are waiting for Microsoft to provide APIs for vendor integration.  We have no information on when Microsoft will provide these APIs, so we can't reflect the support in our roadmap.

Thank you Kevin, that makes sense as to the lack of roadmap on the forums.

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

Just trying to get this conversation rolling again... With the launch of 8.1 RT today, we were all expecting to be able to line up our client VPN, pop in the certificates, and jump through our VPN.  What happened?  Is there any further support from Microsoft on the API?

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

This will be something that you need to check with your account team on for further information on when this support is targeted to come through. I know there are concerns with needing to go through them, but they are the best/only people who can find out and let you know.

Re: Windows RT Client, for Juniper's Network Connect?

Well, some form of Pulse client is indeed now baked in:-

Swipe from the right to get the charms bar, tap "Settings", "Change PC Settings", "Network", then "Add a VPN Connection" - choose "Juniper Networks Junos Pulse" from the VPN provider list.

The puzzle, for me, is that it only captures server *name* (not URL), username and password: with nowhere to enter the realm.  (I don't know the situation ref additional authentication, as I can't point my RT device at the realm where I've got that enabled...)

So without being able to specify the realm, I'm hosed!

I'm guessing there's some magic format for the server name or username that will allow this to be specified.  I really can't imagine that it's been omitted... surely?
