It is my understanding that once a VPN tunneling session is established, the client's hosts file gets modified to create an entry for the VPN server hostname. This works on my Windows 7 and 8.1 test clients but not not on my Yosemite client.
Is this a OS issue, Pulse issue, or functioning as designed?
Environment: MAG, 8.0r9, Pulse 5.0R9.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The following PRS stated it is resolved in 8.0R11 which the tentative release date is the end of this month.
It would seem to me that this is an important function to support non-split-tunnel VPN connections both in environments that use split-DNS and in environments that use DNS based load balancing.
I see the following item listed as fixed in the release notes for 8.1r3
PRS-323933 Hosts file entries fail to populate on Mac OS clients
I am wondering if this related to what I am seeing in 8.0r9. If so, will a similar fix be available in an upcoming release of the 8.0 branch?
Exactly the info I needed. Thanks
