does RDP work with Parallels Client?

I downloaded Parallels Client to try to connect to a remote Windows machine from a Mac.  I did not have any luck. Does RDP work with Parallels Client or the only to connect to a Windows machine from a Mac is with HTML5?

Yes, the only way to connect is through the HTML5 client or the Java client if you do not want to configure the VPN client
In order to use the Parallels client, you will need to enable Pulse on the role and allow access in the VPN tunneling policies for the servers you want to connect against

Sorry but i'm confused with your answers.  Above is your answer.  So if I asked the network person to enable Pulse on the role and allow access in the vpn tunneling policies for the remote Windows machine that I want to connect to then I will be able to use Parallels Client to RDP into the remote Windows machine on my Mac?

Yes, if you ask your network person to enable Pulse on the role and allow access, you should be able to use Parellels client once you start the VPN.
You will not be able to click on the bookmark, but you can use the Parallels client
