Re: how to upgrade SA4500 in cluster

Hi,

It is very easy and safe.

You upgrade a cluster of SA's the same way you upgrade a stand alone SA following this instructions:

https://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/uac/topics/task/operational/security-access-system-software-u...

The cluster members will be upgraded automatically one at a time without human intervention.

The active sessions will be transferred between active members so there will be hardly any notice from the users.

All you have to do is sit and wait for the upgrade to finish!

Cheers,

Paulo

Do the client computers have the Juniper Installer Service installed?  If so, then when the client connects without administrator priviledges, it will automatically upgrade the components on the computer when launched (ie: SAM, NC, HC, etc.)

Devices are upgraded successfully but some of users are not able to install client in their machines .

Users are able to download client in machines but it ask admin username and password to install client in machines .

Re: how to upgrade SA4500 in cluster

For me, upgrade my SA6500 cluster is easier that upgrade a Windows machine Smiley Happy

In both nodes upload the release to the staging area, and then just push the button to do the upgrade from the staging file. The A/A cluster make all the rest. My biggest jump of version was 7.1r5 to 7.3r5 and all it work smoothly.
