iPad Junos Pulse vs. Citrix WebInterface

Quick question..

I`ve almost got my Junos Pulse for iPad config done...all I have left to do is sort out is an annoying config issue with our CItrix WebInterface.

If I select the link within Junos Pulse, the link opens within Junos Pulse but the page is blank....but if I open a browser and go to the very same URL...the page loads...

In the properties of the webresource (Not a defined as a Citrix resource, just a web resource), i`ve disabled rewritting, so I should be getting the "real" page..not a rewritten page..

Any ideas?

Is there a way to "redirect" the link to open in the browser (Safari)?

I`m on a 6500 FIPS box, running OS 7.1R6.

Thanks

Re: iPad Junos Pulse vs. Citrix WebInterface

no, there is no way to move from pulse to safari.

the blank page appears to be due to the decision to not rewrite the citrix link; is there a reason you are choosing to not rewrite the traffic?

Re: iPad Junos Pulse vs. Citrix WebInterface

Once my users are connected, viua eitehr NC or pulse, why would I WANT to rewrite it? I'm not being sarcastic..I really don't know..I mean...at that point, they have past host checker and have an address in a DMZ..

Is there a benefit to to the re-write?

Re: iPad Junos Pulse vs. Citrix WebInterface

You are right, there is no reason to rewrite the traffic once the tunnel comes up (and therefore no benefit of being inside the Pulse app for browsing).

Along the same vein as your question, why keep users inside Pulse once the tunnel comes up for Citrix access?

It may be time to open a case with JTAC to have this checked formally for what is expected to happen when doing this configuration (it is probably not something we have tested).

Re: iPad Junos Pulse vs. Citrix WebInterface

I think what the op is referring to are web bookmarks when used with pulse on iOS. I've noticed and wondered this as well. When your have a role with oth web bookmarks and pulse and connect via iOS pulse, you don't see the bookmarks in pulse until after you launch the tunnel. Which then leads you into staying in the pulse app even after establishing the tunnel. How does one present a full pulse tunnel with bookmarks usable by the native browser. Conversely how does one present pulse bookmarks without having to establish a full tunnel. Or I could be completely off base here Smiley Happy
