Hi everyone, i bought 2 mag6611 and Im totally new to juniper ssl

On MAG6611, when I bootup the system it gives me two options:

Please choose from among the following factory-reset personality images:
[1] Junos Pulse Secure Access Service 7.1 R1 (Build 17675)
[2] Junos Pulse Access Control Service 4.1 R1 (Build 17057)
Choice:

What are the functionality of these images and which 1 should I select?

I did tried option 2, but I couldnt ssh to the CLI, any idea?

[1] it's for SSL VPN

[2] it's for 802.1x / NAC / Dynamic Firewall Policy functionality

I would say you go for [1] as you have posted in the SSL VPN category

Tthanks for the speedy reply. Is it possible to SSH to the box, the doco says we can access via CLI and jweb, I tried to ssh to the box but unsuccessful.

Hi,

We cannot do a direct SSH to the SSL moduel on MAG device,SSH CLI connection and Jweb access is possibel only if you have CMC moduke installed in the MAG device.

Even if you have CMC, SSH is possible only to CMC module, SSH to the SSL VPN blade is not possible.
