Hi, Due to rewriting problems with an internal web app, I did passthrough proxy on the web server supporting the web app, using port based passthrough proxy. This works fine for the web app, but the developers also have other pages on that server that have links to other internal web sites. It appears that, because I am using passthrough proxy, the link for the other internal servers are unwritten URLs, so that when a user clicks on the link, their browser wants to get to the internal site directly, not through the IVE. Does anybody know what to do about this situation?
When creating the policy for "Pass through Proxy " mode check the option "Rewrite external links" this should rewrite all links so they go through the IVE (I have not tested this recently so let me know if it helped)
Suppose you are using a PTP profile with "rewrite external links" checked/enabled but you do NOT want to rewrite ALL external links? Do selective rewriting policies take precedence over a PTP rewriting autopolicy? Or does PTP ignore selective rewriting policies?
My experience is that PTP profiles ignore selective rewriting policies in favor of their own rewrite autopolicy.
Enabling "rewrite external links" will rewrite all external links regardless of selective rewrite policies. However when the rewritten request goes to the SA the selective rewrite polices will kick-in so eventually selective rewrite polices will take precedence.
