pulse secure setup failed to download the application

Every time I run pulse I get the error "pulse secure setup failed to download the application".. How do I fix this? It still connects to the VPN but I receive the error. Thanks!

Do you know what software version is running on the PCS (formerly known as SA) device? Also, are you running installer service on the end user machine?

Do you see it happen twice (once for ActiveX and once for Java) or only once?
If you remove the existing setup client (either Juniper Networks or Pulse Secure) does the issue resolve when you next reconnect?

We are having the exact same issue with one of our deployments. Not for every user. Just for some.

FWIW, I was running the pre-installed Installer Service at 7.3 code level.
When connecting to 8.1r4 PCS with FF ESR, I received two of these notification boxes before the confirmation to run Host Checker and another five after before continuing to the bookmarks page.
After uninstalling 7.3 Installer Service and installing 8.1.37085, I no longer encountered the error popups.
