Hello community,
I faced with the task of connecting remote users (different platforms, e.g. Win, Mac and of course *nix) to the corporate intranet for safe use network resources and services without any restrictions. I mean full access (ssh, rdp, and if it neccessary print documents ).
Since I'm a novice in Juniper products, I could find only Junos Pulse solution, but there is no implementation for *nix platform (I could be wrong, correct me).
Therefore, the question arises - what should I do?
Maybe, use external servers like openvpn or something like this. I will be grateful for ideas and directions in which to explore!
_hank you in advance.
Andrey.
I`m sorry, not specified the equipment. There SRX240 GW and LAN built on extreme networks swiches (I think this is not essential)
You may want to look at the Juniper Secure Access (SA) appliance for this. The Junos Pulse client is also supported in the SA and is specific to a few OS platforms, however there are several connection options within the SA solution that support different versions of Linux, Unix, Mac OS X and other mobile OS'. The Network Connect client built into SA supports your requirements to connect with full network access from several *nix platforms.
Your questions regarding other options, depending on your security and other requirements there are a number of remote access solutions available anywhere from simple SSH tunneling to OpenVPN to the Juniper Secure Access it's hard to say which would be right for you. If your users require a refined and fully supported solution the SA is a good product, it may be worth trying to get a demo.
Juniper Secure Access VPN_SSL works great also with linux, runs on several linuxes with firefox and JAVA...
