Re: windows 7

Will this release (6.5 R2) be proposed as well for SA2500 and will this still be possible but not recommended by JTAC or will 6.5 become recommended?

If not the case, will Windows 7 support be available for 6.4 or 6.3 trains?

Re: windows 7

Azhram, 6.5r2 will run on a SA2000. As time goes by we will have a 6.5rX release that will be the recommended release. Windows 7 support will only be found in 6.5r2 and above.

Re: windows 7

I have been testing 6.5R2:EA1 (build 14813) provided by JTAC. The predefined OS checks for Windows page does not list Windows7 as an option.

Re: windows 7

EA releases are test builds and only include specific fixes--That might be why you aren't seeing it yet. The final build is set to have this addition however.

Re: windows 7

We use HC to make sure users have a current version of Windows so we are using registry checks for the different versions of Windows 7 -

Key/Subkey: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProductName
String; Windows 7 Enterprise

and so on for the different versions of Windows 7. Am looking forward to V6.5R2 that, I am told, will have the Juniper pre-defined option for Windows 7.
