I have excactly the same error on several new notebooks(lenovo).
Strangely the installer runs on other (older) Win7-Systems with the same overal configuration.
sfc/scannow doesn't report any issues.
Tried the hint from:

But sadly nothin works :-/
So - any news regarding this issue?
Thanks for the update. The funny thing is - the installer runs automatically when the client visits the gateway webpage. So there is no way for the user to set the compatibility mode.
I'm curious: How exacty does the installer check for OS-version? Registry keys? some dll?
Anyway - we are quite sure that the problem only happens with the batch of lenovo-notebook's
Will do a system restore with the image supplied by lenovo and a manual win7-install after christmas.
An update post will follow probably next week.
