Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

@achermann ICT macOS 12.3.1 is not officially qualified yet. I have PDC 9.1R15 installed when it's 12.2 and then upgraded to 12.3.1 yesterday, everything seems to work as expected.

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

macOS Monterey Version 12.3.1.
Pulse Desktop Client 9.1R15 (build 15819).
Pulse Connect Secure 9.1R15 (build 18393).
KB44417 - Best practices to configure split tunneling to exclude Office365 applications.

Issue: IP-based split tunneling does not properly honoring routes when i change from Wi-Fi connectivity to Cable connectivity.

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

are you changing while the vpn session is up or you see different behavior between wired & wireless connections?
what is the route precedence?

@chrrac Not honoring as if the traffic being passed through VPN tunnel only after the network change?

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

The vpn session is always up, i see a different behaviour between wired & wireless connection.

I tested with

User Roles, Split Tunneling: Enable
VPN client options/Route Precedence: Tunnel routes
VPN client options/Route Monitor: Yes

and

User Roles, Split Tunneling: Enable
VPN client options/Route Precedence: Endpoint routes
VPN client options/Route Monitor: Yes

No matter which option i use the result is always same. Routes (KB44417 for Microsoft Teams)

stay with wireless adapter though wired cable has been plugged. After plugging Pulse Secure spins a short time frame because it realizes I plugged the wired cable again, but Pulse Secure keeps the routes (KB44417 for Microsoft Teams) with former wireless adapter and does not move to wired adapter. Why?

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

Traffic towards, for example, google.com, works as expected because

it goes always through VPN Tunnel which is fine, but behaviour wireless and wired for IP-based split tunneling for Microsoft Teams (KB44417) is different.

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

thank you for giving more information, @chrrac.
if you start out on wired, does it work as expected? i would not expect a change to the routes mid-session by plugging in.

Re: MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 Problem

@chrrac  As @zanyterp  mentioned, it's not an ideal scenario where we would keep both interfaces connected at the same time. Does it work with active wired connection only?
