Problem using the reset password feature at Windows Logon

Hello,

Our Pulse Secure client is setup for AOVPN. When a user logs in, the users credentials are passed through and authenticated with Pulse.

We have recently setup self-service password reset functionality for our users and enabled the option to have the reset password link on the users logon screen.

Our issue we face is if Pulse Secure is installed, the deafultuser1 who is supposed to login when the reset button is pressed cant login. If we remove pulse secure this process works without issues.

Looking at Microsoft website a common cause can be the following; "Some third party credential providers are known to cause problems with this feature."

Is there anything we can do with Pulse to not grab credentials if defaultuser1 is trying to login?

it may be possible if you disable credential provider; however, if you need always on, it should not be possible is my guess

Hi Zanyterp - If i disable the credential provider would this stop the always-on VPN from auto logging in our users?

yes, it will require users to manually enter their username & password to complete login to pulse
