We just updated our desktop clients to Pulse 9.1.12.10247.
Now a number of users aren't able to RDP to some of my servers.
They hit "Connect" in RDP native client, and the machine freezes and soon the VPN disconnects. It does not even get to the "initializing connection" or prompt for login, it freezes on the screen with the "Connect" button.
A few users I am able to work around by putting the FQDN, but this only works randomly.
I did see a number of them work when using an alternate RDP client such as Remote Desktop Connection Manager 2.7, I had issues with the new 2.9 version.
We have confirmed these same machines have no issues when they are in the office, and not on the Pulse VPN.
I am convinced some protocol used by the native RDP is blocked/locking up the VPN driver/client.
I have disabled UDP and other suggestions I have found online, but these are all for machines freezing on the connection after people enter their login and we don't even get that far.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
SOLVED:
Issue was resolved by installing a previous version of Pulse Secure Client, and appears to be fixed also in the newest release.
It was version 9.r12 that had the problem, and r15 or r4 didn't have the issue.
