WiFi connectivity on computer drops out when running VPN

I have now had 2 different brand new Surface Pro 7 devices in which this issue has manifested. the hardware is Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz driver version is 21.40.1.3

when I connect to the VPN using pulse secure my host computer wifi download capability drops from 250+ Mbps to 250 Kbps as tested by speedtest.net while upload speeds remains stable at my network speeds, connectivity into the VPN and remote desktop is uneffected and download capabilities inside the remote desktop work fine. As soon as the VPN is disconnected speeds return to normal

Re: WiFi connectivity on computer drops out when running VPN

Hi,

I have faced the same problems. I found out a solution. The problem is with the wifi adapter which is running at 160mhz. You have to set the bandwidth (2,4 ghz and 5ghz) from Auto Setting to 20Mhz

Please let me know if this works for you.
