I have now had 2 different brand new Surface Pro 7 devices in which this issue has manifested. the hardware is Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz driver version is 22.214.171.124
when I connect to the VPN using pulse secure my host computer wifi download capability drops from 250+ Mbps to 250 Kbps as tested by speedtest.net while upload speeds remains stable at my network speeds, connectivity into the VPN and remote desktop is uneffected and download capabilities inside the remote desktop work fine. As soon as the VPN is disconnected speeds return to normal
I have faced the same problems. I found out a solution. The problem is with the wifi adapter which is running at 160mhz. You have to set the bandwidth (2,4 ghz and 5ghz) from Auto Setting to 20Mhz
Please let me know if this works for you.
We have the same issue.
We tried the solution but we still have the issue. We set the bandwidth (2,4 ghz and 5ghz) from Auto Setting to 20Mhz.
We have updated the driver to the latest from intel website 21.60.1 (31/12/2019) but nothing change
Anyone have another suggestion ?
https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB43833 fixed our issue! Note: We had to uncheck juniper for wifi and pulse.
Hello, I work with HP Laptops which have Intel AX200 Wireless. Once I thought the problem was fixed after upgraded Windows to 1909 and Device Driver to the Latest (21.60.x.x). But the problem remained and then tried something else.
Connected to Pulse, while on Pulse, opened device manager and disabled Intel AX200. This will drop Wifi as well as Pulse for a short period of time. Then enable the device, WiFi was back and Pulse was either reconnected or prompted for PW to connect. Either way the problem stopped and Internet was back on while on Pulse. I really hope it stays this way and no need to disable and enable device on every Pulse & Internet issue.
If you are connected to a signal based network such as Wi-Fi or on a mobile Internet connection, low signal strength will likely cause your connection to drop due to excessive data losses.
