[macOS] establish Pulse Secure connection from terminal

Good afternoon,

I am using Pulse Secure v5.3.1 (755) on macOS 10.12.5 and I would like to connect (and stop) VPN connections from the terminal instead of using the Pulse Secure GUI.

I have failed to find a way how to connect to an existing Pulse Secure VPN connection via terminal on macOS. The closest I got is

~ $ /Applications/Pulse\ Secure.app/Contents/Plugins/JamUI/jamCommand /resume

However, this only opens the client, but doesn't establish the connection.

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you,
John

Hello John,

jamcommand is a tool used to import connections to the Pulse client. Currently, the Pulse client for macOS does not support connecting to the VPN via command line.

Why is there a CLI for linux and not one for OS X? Is it possible to install the linux client on a mac so the CLI can be used? Is there an alternative that you might recommend? Or could you please develop a CLI for OS X?

Hi - is this still the case 3 years later? No CLI for MacOS?
