Hi All
your computers security is unsatisfactory - Host Checker did not get installed properly
Network Clients using Windows 7 Sp1 x86 trying to connect from home are receiving the above message. Not everyone but increasing by the day by 5+ clients.
Hope someone can shed some light on the above issue I see we aren't the only client with the issue from what I've read but no definitive solution provided that works for us. most attempts to resolve have failed so far apart from a convoluted process that did work. Remove users local profile remove all groups from users AD account log back in, back out add all groups back to AD, log back in and re-download host checker. This did resolve the issue but seems like this was throwing the kitchen sink at the problem and not possible for the amount of users experiencing the problem.
Trouble shooting, tried so far
De-install re-install host checker as user
De-install all pulse related software and re-install as user
Deleted users profile - via Control Panel\System and Security\System "user profiles"
Clear out c:\windows\Downloaded program files of any juniper files.
Cleared IE cache
Increate IE cache download cap of 50mb to 200mb
McAfee up-to date - cant see anything in the McAfee logs to suggest its being blocked - worth further investigation though.
Removed Juniper registry entry in HKCU - although removing the profile would also have carried this out.
Observations
when software gets pulled down it either goes to:
c:\users\username\appdata\juniper\hostchecker or \\server\USV\USV#\username\appdata\juniper\hostchecker\ or both location - This could be relevant, roaming profiles etc. Further investigation required
debugging log located in c:\users\public\juniper\logging\debuglog.log
