Hi Guys,
I have deployed UAC layer 3 with OAC customization and using Active Directory for user database.
When user login to join domain on windows login, OAC automatically grab the user credential information and login to UAC.
This is run well if user login successfull, but when user login failed the OAC pop-up windows always appears requesting to login and if we cancel or ignore, it will be pop-up again about every 20 seconds.
it's sometimes annoying because some user does not want to always pop-up again and again.
Is there any way to disable pop-up login / set the longer interval time for pop-up ?
Really need advice on this matter.
Thank you Guys
Hi,
As per my understanding the pop-up login credentials is the default behavior of OAC client and we can't change it.
We can only control the reauthentication from OAC and from the switch side.
I am not sure whether we can do in registry setting to limit the login/pwd prompts, will check and update you
Regards,
Kannan
Hi,
Yes, i think this is the default behaviour of OAC. i have tested configure re-authentication on OAC preference but still keep pop-up for password. This deployment is layer 3 only means just using UAC and Juniper firewall ssg as infranet enforcer, not using switch. I have tested when we turn off or plug-off the ethernet connection from pc, it does not show up anymore, but if we plug-in the utp cable again, the windows pop-up is show up again
I'm still looking the solution. Any others idea?
Did you try CANCEL @ the OAC password prompt ?
This should take you to another pop-up, which allows you to disconnect from that specific Infranet controller.
Once you choose YES to this pop-up, you should notice that the Infranet Controller connection Status panel Connect to Infranet controller check box empty.
Hi Paul,
I know your suggestion about click cancel button and second popup will show up to asking disable infranet controller connection, but actually this OAC is cutomize ( custom installer) and defined that user cannot disabled infranet controller connection checkbox. So if even click cancel button this popup will show up again asking for password. In this custom installer of OAC, user cannot change anything, because all option in sidebar of OAC is hide and infranet controller checkbox connection is in grey color means that user cannot uncheck it.
