Disabling Odyssey Client Reauthentication Not Working

I am using UAC with Active Directory ( AD ) as a user authentication, but I am also give the user the local Administrator login ( Not AD ) in their own komputer, in case any problem appear with the computer.

But some how when the user use their own local Administrator login, the OAC always appears every 20 seconds with asking the password to authenticate with UAC. I have try Checklist Disabling Odyssey Client reauthentication but OAC still appear every 20 Seconds, what am i try to ask is how to disable this OAC message box becauses it's disturbung my user when their using their local Administrator login. Is there some one who has experience with this..

Thanks before

Re: Disabling Odyssey Client Reauthentication Not Working

Hi,

I understand that you have AD auth server for user authentication in IC using OAC for endpoints, you see OAC login windows  prompting for credentials once the user logs in with his local computer account and you wanted to disable this local computer account and enable only for domain user account.

Is my understanding correct? If this is the case I feel this as a default behavior of OAC. The workaround for this is to manually disable the OAC using"EXIT" option

Re: Disabling Odyssey Client Reauthentication Not Working

Hi ,

thanks for your reply, but we have custom the OAC so user can not exit or change the OAC configuration.

is there any way how to disabling it by forcing rule in UAC or we have to custom the OAC template ?

Re: Disabling Odyssey Client Reauthentication Not Working

Hi Mangapuly,

As updated earlier this is a default behavior of OAC and it can't be changed. This is working as designed.

However you can try changing the registry settings of OAC in one of your test machines to see whether it helps.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Funk Software, Inc.\odyssey\client\configuration\
