Hi guys,
i am new in the juniper world and i got a project in which i have to use IC 4500 to implement 802.1x but with mac auth bypass. My current problem is to understand the licensing part for this device.
So, the devices [2 of them] are already connected to the network but not in production. I have upgraded the version from 2.2R4 (build 12363), as i thought that the version is the reason of why i do not have the UAC part active, to version 4.1R4 (build 18099). After the upgrade i still do not have the options that i am interested in.
Is this because i do not have a license? or is something else that i am missing?
any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Mihai M.

Hi,
It seems to me that you do not have any license keys installed in the appliance. The IC Series device ships with a license that allows you basic access to the IC Series device Only. However, you must activate license keys as per your requirments, to take full advantage of your appliance
Thanks

Hi Paul,
Thank you for answering .
Indeed, there is no license yet. The devices have been bought more than 1 year ago and nobody worked on them. What i thought is that without license it will limit me to 2 concurrent users not also to features.
Anyway, i will wait to see what happends with the licensing part.
Again: Thank you for answering. I was afraid that nobody will answer
