IC 4500 and 6500 Radius best practice on design

Hi,

To help me on a next design architecture with UAC solution. I would like to know if there are limitation on the IC4500 and IC6500 Radius Server. How many Radius Client are supported (switch/AP) and how many users ? Does SBR is recommended in large networks and if it is what is Large Networks for Juniper Solutions?

Thanks.

Hello, JTAC does not have any numbers with regard to your question.

I suggest you contact your Juniper sales rep and ask them. They can provide these numbers as well as any design related questions.

Thanks

an IC6500 cluster can handle 30k concurrent users. A typical cisco switch stack can have up to 240 fe interfaces which generally support one auth\client per interface. We have a 3 member IC cluster with 20k active users without issue. There isnt so much an issue as to how many switches\ap's there are as number of auths per second.
