IC4500 Cannot View Created Guest Accounts

Working on implementing an IC4500 device for guest access on a wifi network. A separate login page has been created to manage just the guest accounts. Creating the accounts is not an issue when logged in as a limited user that has the ability to create guest accounts. The issue is that after the limited user creates the account, they can't see it in the list to modify it or have confirmation that it was actually created. Does anyone know how to make it so they can view the guest accounts that have been created? Also, under role mapping, the Active Directory group is granted Enable Guest User Account Management Rights.

Hi,

I'm not sure from your description if it is the same user that needs to see the user or a different one. Only system administrators can see all guest accounts, users with guest management rights should be able to see only accounts that they have created.

I am running 4.1r1 and this works. What version are you running?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently running 4.1r1.1. The system administrator account can see all the accounts created on the box when logged into the admin console. However, the guest account managers cannot see the accounts they have created. When your guest account admins log in, are they using the standard admin console or did you create a different sign in page for them?

For our guest admins we got them to login to the normal user page rather than the admin page. In their user role we selsected guest admin and when they login they get a specific user admin console.

See the attached screenshot showing that they can see the user they have created.

Are the guest admins local accounts or Active Directory accounts?

In my case AD accounts, but where they are autnenticated against makes no difference, the settings are all within the role.

Hi Sam,

I am facing the same problem here, The guest account manager can see the users he created only if he is a local user ( defined in the local database ),

When we create a sign-in policy and associate it to a sign-in page we need to specify what realm we will be using. So if we choose the realm with AD as authentication server, we are able to authenticate and create users but  unable to see them. If we choose the realm with local database as authentication server, we are able to see the users created by the guest account manager.

Am I missing something here ?
