OAC Connection properies (prior to windows logon) - Gina

Hi all,

I have a question relating to the OAC connection properties.

The current configuration is:

Use Odyssey to connect to the network "Prior to Windows logon, using the following settings"
(Wired Adapter)
and prompt to connect:
"Prior to connecting to the network"
There are Gina considerations where you can't apply this setting without choosing to install odyGina.
So for the first logon, you see the OAC trying to authenticate to the switch and then it runs the required logon scripts etc.
For the second logon however, you don't see the OAC trying to authenticate and i'm concerned that this means its using cached credentials.
Any thoughts on how i can guarantee that the OAC authenticates the user prior to the logon taking place permanently?
Thanks,
Matt

both options for after logon use credentials cached and obtained through the ctrl-alt-del screen. They are not old cached credentials

Re: OAC Connection properies (prior to windows logon) - Gina

If you see OAC trying a GINA login on the first try and not the second that typically means that a third party GINA has reinstated itself. You can confirm this by going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and verifing the value of GINADLL. If the non MSGINA.dll is the value you need to determine if you can live without the other GINA. If you can't you may want to open a support call and see if there is anything we can do to make the 2 GINAs play nice.
