So before I started there was a script actioned I presume through sccm to uninstall the application, so we were tasked with removing the application manually in this case just from appwiz.cpl manually, now they've run another report even though the modules are not in add/remove we may now need to insure it's been removed from the relevant file locations and registry ? Any suggestions all users are on W10 21h2 I believe.
So it's going to be whatever is on here Pulse Secure Article: KB45104 - How to Deep Clean Pulse Desktop Client in Windows and MAC OS for windows , we've already uninstalled a bunch of machines and now the local sccm guys have run another report and realised some bits have been left on other machines which we haven't personally touched yet, I'm a contractor just doing some cleanup and upgrade tasks for all sorts of things..
I know that there will likely be nothing in add/remove
I came across this Pulse Secure Article: KB44829 - Steps to Uninstall Browser/Pulse Client related Components via SCCM. is there anyway I can use this locally I tried it and it works but it also seems to install new componenets so if the vendor can create one where it just removes the existing components as we're moving away from Pulse.
Pulse Secure - Pulse is missing a component and needs to be re-installed - Component: Resource Catalogue is the error when you login to windows as an admin, after I've removed the remaining components from appwiz.cpl.
This is a total nightmare Ive just ran a procmon capture and I can see a ton of orphen items have been left behind such as c$\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Pulse Secure\JamUI which contains a pulse.exe but to be fair hasn't been accessed recently, will double check again tomorrow - I can't seem to delete the activeX in internetOptions - settings or via c:\windows\downloaded files
as long as i can remove the part that causes the security guys to create a report that this application is being flagged.
