UAC 802.1x with Avaya Phones

Hello,

I would like to authenticate my avaya 4610 via IC. But it seems that UAC does not support corresponding security protocol.I have secesefully created local user with username "001B4F0B5708" (default username for avaya phone".

Avaya phone can't authenticate with error "Password is stored hashed, so CHAP and EAP-MD5-Challenge authentication cannot work".

I found a lot of doc how to do 802.1x with windows IAS but I don't want to use it. I want Juniper IC.

Regards,

Alexey

Hi

Do you want to configure 802.1x or Mac Authenticaion ?

You can use the IC with avaya device, but the configurations vary from authticaion protocol.

Hi,

Create a new local auth server with store password in clear text checked. Then create local user here and attach this auth server to realm. Avaya phone should be able to authenticate.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer, it's good for me Smiley Very Happy.

Now my question is :

is it possible to activate this option on ldap AD 2008 ?
