Dear All,
Is it possible IN UAC or any other Box that if a user-A logs in from his own laptop while having 802.1x authentication should access the resource which resides on some server-B (folder-X) but if the same user-A logs-in from some other computer and got some IP address from DHCP and then if he wants to access the same resource on Server-B (Folder-X), then he should not be allowed to access the Folder-X on the basis of its MAC address. To make it more simple, a user should only access the resource that is folder-X on Server-B only when he logs-in from his assigned PC or laptop. waiting a prompt response from all of you. Thanks
Regards
Badar
Hi Badar, I understand that you wanted a IC user should only access the resource that is folder-X on Server-B only when he logs-in from his assigned PC or laptop. yes we can do this by enabling host checker rules based on MAC address and apply it on role level. Rule 1 can be the user with right mac address will have the right role assigned. The users whose MAC address doesn't match rule will be assigned with another role using a rule 2. You can create custom rules ni role mapping based on host checker to achieve this. Hope thsi help, please revert for any calrifications. Regards, Kannan
