captive portal on a external server

Hello,

Is it possible configure something in UAC or SRX to redirect a user to a external captive-portal to validate the credentials adn then permit internet access for this user?

I see the captive-portal in the UAC but I want a external captive-portal

I am not sure I follow your question.

In order to validate the user, they must be redirected to the IC for authentication.

I have seen some customers use a regular web server to offer up various types of access to the IC, such as GUEST or EMPLOYEE...but at the end of the day, you still have to redirect the user to the IC for authentication.

With regard to the SRX, you must be running the correct code base to allow URL redirect. I think it is available in 10.0 and later, but you should review the SRX release notes to be sure.
