Calculating SSL TPS

Hi All,

I have a number of SteelApp licenses for various deployments (1000L,1000M and 2000L).  Im trying to validate the suitability of the licenses for the workloads going through each of these devices.  The network throughput is pretty easy to identify, but how can I measure how many SSL Transactions Per Second the devices are processing?

Hi, I just learned that newer licenses don't have SSL TPS limits anymore and anybody with an active support agreement may be able to change old licenses to new ones without additional costs via his support partner. HTH

Thats really interesting to know!  Where did you hear this from?  Im just checking with my sales partners now.

FYI Ive had confirmation that the SteelApps are now no longer SSL TPS restricted per license, they are only restricted by network throughput.  Its also worth noting that the 1000 licenses dont support the Global Load Balancing and Route Health Injection features.

I'd keep an eye on the Global -> SSL -> sslConnections in the current activity screen.

You could break this down for sslHandshake[SSLv2|SSLv3|TLS1|TLS11|TLS12] and have a look at cache hit/miss for the SessionID too.
