Hi All,
We are using a Stingray Traffic Manager (SW based application STM 9.5) - Installed on a RHL OS. We will conduct a performance testing prior we deploy it production. We need to monitor the CPU utilization, memory utilization, and the sessions established once the Application team conducts a testing. They require at least 24 hours report. The App team is on different timezone with me so I will gather those report after they are done testing and during my business hours. Is it possible to monitor the historical activity of the CPU utilization, memory utilization at least for 1 day or 2 days? I know there's an option in Current Activity to monitor (Spare CPU time and Free Memory Chart Data) but that is real-time. Do we have options for historical activity for thes 2 items? And for the connection/session monitoring, shall I go to just Connections section and modify the connection filters (i.e. Time) and I can monitor the past session established as well? Sorry for some newbie questions. Hoping for your response asap. Thanks in advance!

Hi Arun,
Thanks for your response. Yes, we can monitor the current activity by choosing that options. I was looking at if the CPU and memory information ca be store just like the historical activity. I guess we need an external monitoring tool such as zenoss to provide those information.
Under the options for those two (Spare CPU time and Free Memory), in the Current Activity page, change the number of minutes to 1440 to give you the data for a day. I think thats the maximum.

Jay, this is the correct way to monitor CPU and Memory utilisation on your STM.
We find PRTG Network Monitor - intuitive network monitoring software very useful for monitoring the health of the appliance itself. Also we can load the custom MIB in to read values from the traffic manager software itself such as bandwidth classes etc.
