There are several resources on the community about the use of SSL/TLS, from simple SSL termination, through to more complex examples, from redirecting HTTP to HTTPS, to re-encryption of traffic for forwarding to remote services.
The simplest might be this simple video: it is a little old ("Stingray") but is still good for learning about nerwer versions (as well as the older "ZXTM/Zeus" software)
