GLB without delegated DNS/Bind server

Hi all,

i'm pretty much new in the steelapp subject so appreciate the help received. I wanted to know in a parallel deployment of the GLB(STM4k) do i still need the secondary DNS server to be delegated from the main NS? Can STM act as a bind instead?

if yes, please advice the methods. thank you

Re: GLB without delegated DNS/Bind server

Can STM act as a bind instead?

You can use the following guide to have STM "act as a DNS server" HowTo: Implement a simple DNS resolver using libDNS.rts or STM can coexist with a BIND Installation.

Also See libDNS.rts: Interrogating and managing DNS traffic in Stingray

Re: GLB without delegated DNS/Bind server

Thanks Nahas

confirm this the Steelapp engineer on this. LibDNS.rts is a simple bind but not able to split dns, unless implement with trafficscript to recognise internal and external IP address and response with 2 or more libDNS config
