How to stop 'Zeus: Using license key, Using license key' alerts?

Hi,

I have set alerting to email for 'Critical Problem Occured' and 'Critical Problem Resolved' and to just log everything else. However every day I get emails like this

Stingray Traffic Manager Virtual Appliance Alert messages from x.x.x.x.

All alert messages (oldest first):

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1 Jan 27 17:29:03: INFO  License Key 'xxxxx'

                    Using license key

#2 Jan 27 17:29:03: INFO  License Key 'xxxxx'

                    Using license key

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This message was sent by the following Alert mapping:

   Critical Problem Resolved -> E-Mail

This is annoying as we want to direct critical emails to a on call account but this is clearly not a critical issue. Is there anyway to flag these messages as being not critical?

Thanks.

Re: How to stop 'Zeus: Using license key, Using license key' alerts?

The "Using license key"  is part of the Critical Problem Resolved (Built-in Event Type) event. You cannot modify the built-in Event Types, but you can make a copy that can be edited, or you can create new Event Types from scratch.

  1. Navigate to "Critical Problem Resolved (Built-in Event Type)"
  2. The bottom of the page in the "Make a Copy of this Built-in Event Type" section, allows you to save the built in monitor with a new name. Once the monitor has been copied, you will now have the option to edit the selections.
  3. Remove the check under  "License Keys > Information Messages > usinglicense: Using license key"Use license key.JPG.jpg
  4. Under Apply changes, click "Update" to save the event type.
  5. Configure your alert mappings to use the created custom event type.Alert Mapping.JPG.jpg
  6. As you can see from my screen snip, don't forget to click "Update" to save.
