Hi folks,
To be give a bit brief, I am new to ZXTM and it's being used vastly in one of the biggest site in Europe. We are restricted to test and code other than the limited change window given by the change management department. What happens is, as I write codes blindly and when making the changes in TrafficScript, I need to alter the code on trial method.
I would like to know if there's anything that I can explore the TrafficScript, try writing better script and test before going production? Some sort of a simulator or equivalent script interpreter in other languages.
Any suggestion?
Regards,
Munim

Hi Sameh,
Agree with that. However, there is nothing today that can do both TS and also simulate requests to the TM.
However, for today, we have something called zeusbench that is a load generator and can pump in requests to the STM. So in essence, you can use an STM developer version and use zeusbench to simulate loads to it.
Information on that is here: Introducing Zeusbench

Hi Munim,
While I explore the availability of a simulator which I am not sure of, did you try downloading an eval copy of the Traffic Manager and try it in any private setup, if feasible?

Arun
The availability of a simulator is still very relevant compared to a preprod setup.
People want to check TS behavior while writing TS rules without the hassle involved by a full Stingray configuration. It could be a subset of the functions available...
