IP Transparency module for Apache Webserver

Hello,

I have got a problem again when setting up a IP Transparency module for Apache.  Previously I following

http://community.riverbed.com/t5/Extensions/IP-Transparency-module-for-Apache-Webserver/m-p/16622/hi...

and download module from

http://community.riverbed.com/rvrb/attachments/rvrb/Extensions/5/1/modzeus-10-1.zip

compile it and loading under Apache.  However, today when I am setup new Apache server.  The webpage and URL did not available now, so how can I solve this problem?

My loadbalancer is running under VMs but did not allow to modify Kernel (OpenVZ).  So ztrans Stingray Kernel cannot apply and I guess the Stingray's IP transparency feature did not available like this.

IP Transparency: Preserving the Client IP address in Stingray Traffic Manager

My config:

Stingray Traffic manager 500 L1 ver 9.0

Apache machine:

Ubuntu 12.04

Apache 2.2.22

Thanks for your advise.

Machi

Re: IP Transparency module for Apache Webserver

Hi Machi,

I'm not sure where the module has disappeared too? We recommend that customers make use of the Apache mod_remoteip module for versions of Apache from 2.4 onwards, but mod_zeus should still be available for Apache 2.2. The module is supplied as-is and Riverbed provide absolutely no support or warranty.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: IP Transparency module for Apache Webserver

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your backup.  Hope they can keep those link as there are still many OS default Apache still Version 2.2.  Even some old Linux is Apache 2.0.
