In Aptimizer What is difference between Sharepoint and IIS optimization we will get.

In Aptimizer What is difference optimization result we will get between SharePoint  and IIS.

When we installed Aptimizer for SharePoint we can see benefit only for files images and java script, so we want what benefit we get for specific to sharepoint.

Re: In Aptimizer What is difference between Sharepoint and IIS optimization we will get.

Hi Manohar,

Since Sharepoint is built on a common foundation, we are able to derive Sharepoint optimization profiles. They are built into Aptimizer For Sharepoint and Aptimizer Virtual Appliance (standalone or integrated with Traffic Manager) products.

Sharepoint profiles contain optimizations rules tailored for Sharepoint 2007, 2010 (and 2013 coming soon). These rules include

  • Exclusions rules for known incompatibilities
  • Special optimizations for the Sharepoint editing Ribbon
  • Rewriting known HTML code inefficiencies to allow more optimizable content
  • Avoiding re-optimizing Out of the box optimizations (e.g. aptimizer wont attempt sprite existing sharepoint image sprites )
  • Predefined resource set to combine known Sharepoint Images, CSS and JavaScripts

Overall the goal of Sharepoint profiles is to fast track your Aptimizer deployment and testing, get the best optimization with less configuration issues.
