In this release, Pulse Secure Services Director introduces a simpler way to upgrade to use the advanced Analytics Application in Services Director, and also offers support for an Amazon AWS AMI image for Services Director:
- Simple Upgrade Option for Analytics - In order to make it easier to enable Data Export and Analytics Application in Services Director, this new version supports new feature packs which work in the same way as traditional bandwidth packs, rather than licensing Analytics on a per-node basis.
For example, if you have a 5 Gbps flexible bandwidth pack for Services Director such as this:
BR_ADC_FLEX_ADV5G_S_01
And you only need 1 Gbps for Analytics, then you can buy this upgrade for Services Director:
BR_ADC_FLEX_AN1G_S_01
This would allow a total of 1 Gbps traffic to be exported for analytics, and would limited by the number of nodes. Note that the “1 Gbps” is measured against the total traffic passing through all Pulse vTMs controlled by Services Director: it does not refer to the analytics metadata and packet information which is being exported.
- Enterprise Management Capabilities - Enterprise Management capabilities such as centralized logging and backup/restore are now included in the base Services Director package.
- Native AMI for Amazon AWS - For customers wishing to host Service Director’s unique capacity-based licensing in Amazon AWS, this release is also offered as native AMI virtual machine, which will be made available via the AWS Marketplace.
