In this release, Pulse Secure Virtual Traffic Manager has more enhancements for closer integration with Pulse Connect Secure (PCS) and Pulse Policy Secure (PPS), including support for simpler session persistence of RADIUS. Highlights in this release include:
Enhanced LB for PCS/PPS - Extending the capability of earlier releases, Traffic Manager now supports enhanced load-balancing for Pulse Connect Secure (PCS) VPN gateways and Pulse Policy Secure (PPS) network access control. Traffic Manager is able to use a built-in service discovery plugin to measure the license headroom of individual cluster nodes and configure weights, so that new sessions are directed more towards nodes that have more available license capacity.
Additional support for RADIUS - For closer integration with Pulse Policy Secure (PPS) and to help organizations manage session persistence of RADIUS, we have added a new function in TrafficScript to provide access to the RADIUS Calling Station. This makes it very easy to set session persistence based on the Calling ID: for example, this TrafficScript code segment uses the Calling Station ID to set universal session persistence:
