Query regarding SOAP Control JAVA API for SteelApp

Hi All

We are using SOAP control JAVA API's for fetching the performance metrics from Brocade SteelApp Loadbalancer (Version Developer mode 9.9). But the API is taking long time (around 2-3 mins) in returning the response. Given below are the list of API's being invoked for fetching the performace metrics :-

long BytesIn = statsPort.getTotalBytesIn();
long BytesOut = statsPort.getTotalBytesOut();
int CurrentConn = statsPort.getTotalCurrentConn();
int TotalConn = statsPort.getTotalConn();
int TotalRequests = statsPort.getTotalRequests();
int CpuBusyPercent = statsPort.getSysCPUBusyPercent();
int CpuIdlePercent = statsPort.getSysCPUIdlePercent();
int SysMemTotal = statsPort.getSysMemTotal();
int SysMemFree = statsPort.getSysMemFree();
int NumIdleConnections = statsPort.getNumIdleConnections();

The complete time taken by above set of API's for returning the response is around (1-2 mins).

Can anyone please help?

Thanks and Regards

Subramaniam

Re: Query regarding SOAP Control JAVA API for SteelApp

Hello there, can you provide some more context? Are you able to see if the REST API calls are just as slow? You should be able to drive the REST API from a browser without needing to set up any remote calls. P, ...

Yes the REST API calls are also slow and are taking same time like JAVA SOAP based API's.

How much activity is there on this Traffic Manager?

The Developer Edition is limited to 1Mbps throughput in total. SOAP calls may be subject to the overall license bandwidth, so if you are driving a lot of activity through the system, then you are likely to be hitting that limit.
