how to do a Manual Failover of the Primary Load Balancer

Hi

We are using an Steelhead Load Balancer 9.5 in Active passive cluster Mode. I would like to know how to identify which is the Primary active node from Console.

Also how to do manually failover from Active to the Passive mode.

Could you help me out to find this out.

Regards
Rajesh

Re: how to do a Manual Failover of the Primary Load Balancer

Hi Rajesh

Assuming you meant SteelApp and not SteelHead, this is how to do it.

1) Go to Services> Traffic IP Groups tab and click Unfold all to find out which Traffic manager raised the IP addresses.

2) Cut down the network connectivity to the Primary Traffic Manager and observer the failover (IP will now be raised by the standby).

Regards,

Arun
