Hi,
If I have a pool of webservers and one stingray instance (advanced, 2000, 1G) in AWS.
If the load on the stingray increases is there anyway to detect and spin up another instance of stingray?
Thanks,

It sure is!
Stingray Autoscaling for AWS, VMWare and Rackspace is supported on the STM2000 and STM4000 series. Configuration is covered in the manual on page 83.
Thank you for your support - It is not clear from reading the manual whether automatic scaling of the number of stingray instances are supported - The manual states that auto scaling increases the number of server nodes attached to stingray. Please clarify.
Austoscaling as supported by Stingray supports the scaling of back end nodes to scale the total pool size of back end servers up and down.
Autoscaling of Stingray Traffic Manager Cluster size is not what this feature refers to.
Some customers use AWS ELB with cloudwatch metrics to scale their STM cluster size in AWS. Alternatively, we have customers using Stingray Services Controller (SSC) who are starting to leverage the SSC toolchain to achieve this now also. Drop me a direct message with your contact details if you would like me to get the local Stingray Specialist team to contact you regarding SSC.
