This new release of Pulse Services Director introduces significant enhancements for managing large numbers of Traffic Managers in an Enterprise deployment. Services Director 18.1 extends our vision for powerful enterprise capabilities, and includes options for intuitive graphical analysis and centralized logging, so you can gain a deeper understanding of how your all your applications are performing. Highlights include:

  • Enterprise Management tools: New Enterprise Management capabilities are enabled through optional add-on feature packs – for example, a 20-node Enterprise Management pack would allow Services Director to utilize Enterprise Management features on up to 20 Traffic Managers. Multiple node packs can be stacked to allow management of large-scale deployments. Some capabilities available in earlier versions of Services Director (such as centralized backup/restore) now require that the Traffic Manager node has been enabled for Enterprise Management by Services Director 18.1 or newer.

  • Powerful Graphical Analytics: Intuitive graphical analysis to visualize end-to-end traffic flows and transactions, helping you to understand how traffic flows through your vTM estate, and identify performance problems and application issues.

  • Analytics Data Export: Export rich analytical data streams from Traffic Managers, streaming to a central data store for analysis and filtering; Use the built-in Analytics Application or your own data mining tools to analyze the data.

  • Centralized Logging: Collate log data from all Traffic Managers across all your applications in one place, aggregating data from each member of a cluster for analysis in a single view.

  • Getting Started with Enterprise Tools: With Services Director 18.1, Pulse provides Enterprise Management for your first two vTM nodes free, to help you get started with Services Director in Enterprise deployments.
