We have an internal web site that is https only and that prompts for login with an "authentication required" popup. This works fine for internal users. However, when I try to access it via the web resource I've defined, I get an error saying "Cannot establish a secure connection to the URL. Check if this connection requires http instead of https, etc etc" Is there a setting I can change that will allow the popup dialog box to be displayed?

It seems that it should be possible to modify the HTTP code for the ProperRDP session to prompt for a server name and then pass that name to the applet. I've tried to figure this part out, but have been unsuccessful to date.

Forgive my ignorance. If I remember correctly, the VDI system can use RDP, ICA, and a few other protocols. Would it be possible to use an RDP session to connect to virtual desktops instead of using the VDI client with JSAM? My hope is to be platform agnostic on the SSL VPN client side.

I've been searching for instructions on how to do it, but haven't found anything definitive. I'm trying to create a temrinal services link that will work for people connecting from Windows, Mac, or Linux clientts. I want it generic enough to prompt them for a server address before launching the client. I've uploaded the Propero java client to the IVE but can't figure out how to proceed.. Is there any documentation that really steps you through the process? Thanks

Has anyone implemented VMware VDI with SSL VPN? I'm just beginning to look at this, but would love to hear from people who've done it already. Is it even possible to use VDI with the SSL VPN? Thanks, HB

We've been using RSA tokens for authentication to our SSL VPN system. Recent interest in iPhones and Junos Pulse is leading us in the direction of using certificates for more seamless authentication. I'd appreciate the benefit of others experience. I understand I can stand up a certificate server on the SA box itself. How manageable is it? Alternatively, could we use our Active Directory CA to generate certs for the client devices? If yes, are there some guides I can follow? I haven't been able to find sufficient information in the Juniper knowledgeablenes or admin guides.

I'm posting to ask for a sanity check. If I'm reading the release notes correctly, we may need to update our Junos Pulse clients, but I'd prefer not to if we don't have to. Currently, our MAG-SM160's are at system version 7.2R4. The Junos Pulse client version on Windows laptops is v3.1.1.30247. The recent release of MacOS 10.9 will force is to update the MAG-SM160's to 7.4R7. Can a Windows PC with Junos Pulse client v3.1.1.30247 connect to an appliance running 7.4R7?

Is there a guide I can following for using a WIndows CA with the SSL VPN system? I assume I have to import our AD CA cert into the Juniper box. The idea for using one cert with a password seems like it would be a time saver, but I'm not sure our Infosec group would go for it.

Kevin I've searched the forums and found those threads, but still find them to be short on info. I actually have two scenarios I'd like to solve: 1. A web resource that launches the Java applet and prompts for server name (i.e. the user is allowed to connect to any TS he has access rights to). I have no issue with the user entering username and password once they get the Windows login screen on the terminal server. 2. For a Terminal Service resource, I'd like to have Java applet fallback when the user is connecting from a non-Windows computer. In both cases, I guess my problem is coming up with the proper HTML code.

We've defined a role for logins from non-corporate computers. For this role, we need to block downloads from internal web servers. Is it possible to do this? If yes, I'd appreciate some pointers. Thanks HB Message Edited by HB on 12-05-2008 06:22 AM
