It is possible for the host checker (HC) to test for a running process. I suppose that is what have been done here. You can also do file and MD5 checks.

I got a similar challenge. I need to forward the URL the user request as the sesson followthrough has been enabled. The URL the users requests would be lovely to have in a variable in could pass on to the backend server, but no such variable seems to exists. The system is runnin on SA 4000 cluster with firmware 6.4R4.1. The admin guides for 6.5 and 7.0 pretty much has the same variables. Any good suggestions ?

I actually just used the SSO method to redirect one URL to another. Works nice. Would be nice to have some better control with selective rewriting so you could actually do this here. I mean my latest SSO isn't really SSO :-)

Hope you have solved that. Move to 6.5 or maybe even 7.0 if you need better 64bit / win7 support. The java client can be easier to get working through juniper as you don't need to tunnel traffic as with a normal ICA client.

XenApp 5 works with 6.4 as well. We use the Java client as we have since version 5 of IVE tho.

Do a custom sign-in page. Sing URL uses both realms, user picks from list. In the custon sign-in you choose the realm without RSA when the RSA code field is blank. Simple. Cheers .-)

Just buy 2x SA 2500 and sell or trade-in the old unit. Alternatively aquire a SA 2000 if possible. Clustering hardware must always be the same. Cheers

Hi, does anybody else see error ID:4936720 on the client for Network Connect (NC) ? Running 6.5R3.1. It does state non critical and we are not sure about the impact, so for now it is just nice2know. Cheers Tom

First make sure you run an ESAP version (the host checker) that supports the Mcafee Version. ESAP versions gets updated more frequently than the SA/UAC firmware. You can ge the newest version from juniper. Access Protection is part of (some) the Mcafee Suite. What I experienced what I dug further into this was that some machines are simply too slow and will not release the HC dll files in a timely manner. Marking the HC executable as low risk in Mcafee helps sort this out as the Mcafee only checks the exe not everything the exe touches. Should be ok with that file.

DNS Name resolution on the ScreenOS normally pulls all the IP addresses related to the records. You get do a resolve and check the cache using the UI or the CLI.

That really depends on your setup. Could you refine the question perhaps ? If you are talking about if it will disrupt the already connected users, I'm am not 100% sure, but I guess they would stay connected as the auth table is active on the firewall for them. New uses will fail to be authenticated. Cheers
